John Donoghue wins K.J. Zulch Prize

John Donoghue, PhD, also with VA’s Center for Restorative and Regenerative Medicine, won the K.J. Zulch Prize from Germany’s Max Planck Society for his work on a new brain implant and decoding system that has allowed people with paralysis to control robotic and electronic devices using only their thoughts. The award is one of the highest international honors for neurological research.
